Social Enterprise Stories in Urban Kenya

Social Enterprise Stories in Urban Kenya
Kenyan school children at a Bridge Academy.

It is hard to believe we created this book over a decade ago. Social Enterprise Stories grew out of our desire to tell the story of economic development in different ways. The world is full of dense reports that few people, if any, read in any detail. Why not try to tell the story of social enterprise using visual narrative techniques?

We embarked on a many month journey to craft the book from start to finish. An amazing team of photographers, graphic designers, and filmmakers worked to make the final product something to be proud of. I still remember vividly my tiny Brooklyn apartment littered with version after version of the book and prints.

Ultimately, we launched a Kickstarter to fund the book printing. 192 people backed the project and Social Enterprise Stories in Urban Kenya became a real table book.
